wiretapp nonsense this scandal broke out after he was elected the following primary was the target after Delay

Posted in Politics at 6:30 am by Michael Johnson

And though not all federal court decisions are codified.. All Supreme court decisions are and they become the Supreme rule of the land.

donkeys have to ignore rules. its like, hard wired into the genes, or something. FreeAlwys i understand your point.

The 9th often blatently ignores the Supremes as if they are taunting them or something.

ayup. right there with ya. but, lets not reform it like energy was “Reformed” ok? lets make some actual decisions. and if we have to, toss some people in jail.

Reform is difficult because you can reform our rights away if we arent careful. Some faith in the system has to exist. We have no choice.

DarthBurg you mean ignore the rules like campaign finance reform laws?

wiretapp an election law, like in new jersey, ohio, florida, california, Illinios, and LA. just to name a few you DID know the DNC got slapped with election fraud in Ohio, yes?

If we limited the power of the courts too much or lawsuits then the little guy without a lot of money could be denied justice, that would be a tragedy. So the best we can do is hope for a reasonable higher courts who will overturn foolish legal reasoning or non reasoning as the case may be.

DarthBurg what happened to Tom DeLay? and the Abramhoff crew

1 message(s) in queue - 0 message(s) in queue -

william jefferson?

I dont know what that means, whether its delaying a msg or if I am not seeing it ?

hey, the lobby fallut from abrahof is DESERVED. i am not a donkey, i do not defend my party no matter what. you want to reign in the lobby? you HAVE TO REIGN IN THE GOV.

I’m glad you feel that way

pure n simple. next?

wiretapp, DeLay is still on the hook for one charge, but that criminal prosecutor Earle will drop that after the election. wiretapp, look for DeLay to go after Earle.

Tom delay time will tell, his gerrymadering in texas though has been repeated all over the country and much if was done by democrats, sometimes in the most ridiculous of borders.

Delay was the victim of a witch hunt because donkeys could not beat him at the ballot box, and thats the facts.

TheTailor go after him how

His gerrymadering was found legal except for one single district they re drew. Out of the whole state

William jefferson is NOT the victim of a witch hunt.

wiretapp, I don’t think ya can

just because its legal doesn’t mean its ethical

Delay did nothing wrong.

wiretapp, but his prosecutorial misconduct is plain as day.

except the whole money laundering thing

myth made up.

yea the mafia is a myth too… sigh

a story contrived to take a good man out of office.

The party with power always Gerrymanders, The only solution if there is one is taking it outside the power of subjective control. Somehone as i suggested once, maybe making a computer program which would redraw districs based on reasonbale criteria, They shouldnt be drawn on race lines just to get minority voters. Thats racism.

the evidence is just to damning.

The money laundering charge is the most made up

even trubin durbin has said “My opponet will develope legal trouble” its a common MO on the Left.

To launder money it has to be gotten illegally

Just as all white disctricts who may vote republican shouldnt be drawn oddly. They should be approximately rectangular or square and represent where people live, For example west side of chicago, East side, (Assuming they had several districts

meanwhile, they had to MAKE the law UP to charge Delay WITH. pure witchhunt. course, none of this was reported on CNN

$13,933 gets deposited in an account of a 3rd party, and then $13,933 gets moved to candidates from that 3rd party, but naw its just a coicidence

Ronny Earle needs to be fragged, regardless of party, bad prosecutors are criminals.

wiretapp you need to bring more ammo to the gunfight. this constant wailing on your part has long since gone past amusing.

I got ours fired here in the city

its the exact definition of money laundering, if you don’t like money laundering by drug dealers and mobsters, than you shouldn’t like it by politicians either

wiretapp, that’s also not laundering.

moving money around in banking accounts is NOT ipso facto money laundering.

yes it is!

wiretapp, the money has to be illegally obtained.

what is money laundering then, i’d love to hear your definition

No, it’s not laundering.

the money doesnt have to be legally obtained illegally

And the money wasn’t illegally obtained.

Actually the courts will determine if its laundering. I will wait for their decision.

wiretapp, so if I transfer some money from saving to checking, its money laundering? you people are INSANE

laundering means you pass it through a system whereby all tracking of that money is eliminated

I am not going to prejudge this because its typical politics for each party.

Yep, it does have to be illegally obtained.

DarthBurg that comparison isn’t anywhere near analogous

yes it is.

it doesnt have to be illegally obtained, laundering is simply hiding the source somehow. removing the paper trail

wiretapp, the fact that there is arecord of where the money is shows it’s not laundered.

no it doesn’t, the real point of money laundering is to prevent the governement from taxing it and or finding out about it … tax evasion is illegal, the method for you gaining the money isn’t neccessarily illegal

but there is not much reason to launder legally obtained cash

If anything I think its a violation of campain law (Texas). No Federal laws were broken.

if a law says money cannot go from A to B, so you instead send it from A to C back to B, thats the definition of money laundering!!!

If it were laundered, you wouldn’t know where it is

The judges in Texas will have to determine if its a violation of their election law.

if the movement of the money through multiple accounts is tracked, its not laundering. its called “Accounting” something BTW, which is NOT taught at the k-12 level, why is this?

cyberfrg, you almost have it right, laundering is to HIDE the money, that isn’t the case here.

because rich people enjoy making money from money ignorant people

cyberfrg, and it doesn’t have to be to evade tax either.

DarthBurg so its either ‘accounting’ with illegal campaign contributions or “laundering” of legal campaign contributions either way, its illegal

cyberfr0g so you contend the GOP controls the School curriculum?

Wirtapp, If you had permission to send the money to the federal gop. And its legal for the federal GOP or RNC to send money to your state, its a very questionable case to me which could fall either way.

i did not mean to initiate a topic change, sorry. got to control myself.

Nope, it’s not illegal and it will show in the end, just as all the other chages have been dropped, so will this one.

The RNC can send as much money as they want to Texas candidates..

the only crime Tom Delay committed was being an effective republican leader.

Moving money from account to account means nothing

haha, no, i was being sarcastic … schools teach “get educated, get a job, make money, spend money”

The question is what does the law say specifically.. and I dont know.

People do it every day

cyberfr0g I think it could be argued they do no such thing.

unless the reason they used an intermediary account is to hide the illegal contribution

DarthBurg, and after all this, they only had to redraw one map

TheTailor I know, its insane.

that’s the whole basis for the educational system

pure donkey logic.

wiretapp, there is no “hide”, it’s a matter of record.

No Question Delay tried to get the biggest bang from the buck I think he believed it might have been legal. But time will tell.. I dont know enough about the case. I think Ill look it up

cyberfr0g is it? I disagree. the public education system has not managed to educate people all that well, I would say their goal was to produce stupid people who would vote for Bigger GOV to save them everytime and all the time.

you seem to know more about it than your counterparts in here

I don’t see what’s so wrong with redrawing the political district maps

thats not the illegal part that was just what pissed everybody off

wiretapp, I’m in Texas, I read all about it and it’s in our local news, Ronny Earle is a bad prosecutor.

wiretapp whats to know? Delay won his election, the donkeys lost, so they sued him. its common on the left.

well, there is probably a difference between intentions and reality … i don’t agree they intend to make stupid people but it happens because of other things

wiretapp, want to read about Earle? Do a search on what he did to Hutchenson

actually DeLay didn’t even run and hes about to lose his seat there isn’t even a republican on the balet in delays former district

Charged all types of shit…dropped it all

A single felony count alleges he conspired to violate Texas law with corporate donations to key legislative races. That is the law in general

what, you think they called Tom Delay “The Hammer” because he was soft and cuddly? nope, he got shit DONE. and as such, is hated by the donkeys. so much so, they had to MANUFACTURE a FAKE and MYTHICAL legal issue to take him out.

Dragged her through the mud…then in fron t of the judge when it went to trial, “we drop all charges your honor”…walked out.

wiretapp haha thats a bald faced lie. Delay’s name was on that ticket.

so his main remaining charge is conspiracy DarthBurg it was on the primary ticket, but wont be on the general election ticket

i thought it was money laundering, make up your teeny mind

wiretapp, yeah well that will be overturned, the people will write in to defeat the democrat running. Sugarland is overwhelmingly Republican.

conspiracy to launder money i’m sorry

wiretapp of course not, NOW. wiretapp you should not lie about such things to suit your political purposes.

wiretapp, Earle may have lessened the charges, it was initially laundering

Delay would have won the primary, even with the fictional charge, he chose to quit, instead.

DarthBurg the primary took place after this scandle broke, the Republicans could have had a name on the ticket had DeLay not tried to win the primary race

Ok its a 3rd degree felony the lowest. (least serious) though serious.

wiretapp, the court will overturn the lower court, they can’t stop Republicans from running. In any case, the people will write in.

wiretapp nonsense, this scandal broke out after he was elected, the following primary was the target, after Delay rammed redistricting down the donks throat, or did you forget the donkeys running away to New Mexico to avoid it?

They have to prove he conspired to violate the law which says that corporate donations cant go to these candidates. The case it seems for me that the anti delay forces have is he sent the money to washington where it is legal and then the rnc sent back non corporate money which was legal. but that it was a crime because it was intended to circumvent the law.

hehehe, that was so funny, running away, everyone was saying ” What if they were ta tht Alamo!”

the donkeys actions in this whole mess is shameful at best, despicable at worst, they should all be hanged.

the case for delay is almost idenitical.

wasn’t it oklahoma?

new Mexico Bill Richardson, Gov’nor

Because you have to ask yourself was it a legal circumvention ? It is legal to go around the law legally to achieve something. It dpeends in the specifics of the law. You could argue he was abiding with the law because he did send corporate donations to the RNC national which wasnt illegal. And he got back from the RNC national Non Corporate domations which was also legal

just another steenking political bomb, when you have pissed off donkeys in the mix.

But was putting thoe two facts together a conspiracy to commit a crime ? That is for the court to decide. thats where the devil is in the details. Hey Pil.

FreeAlwys which I think is why hes charged with conspiracy, which means basically “trying to get around the law”

Wiretapp, But its not always illegal to try to get around the law.

hola

it will never hold up

wiretapp, that’s not what conspiracy means

wiretapp cherry picks his intelligence.

Which means the law in its entirety and in its fine details may be the solution to the case.

FreeAlwys which I think is why hes charged with conspiracy, which means basically “trying to get around the law”

What are thos fine details of law ? I dont know. And where does intent come in ? And can they prove intent ?

“trying to get around the law”, pure gold :-)

I think its going to be hard case for the prosecution even if they win. it wont be slam dunk since there is a lot of gray area.

typical donkey logic.

Conspiracy would nto be trying to get around the law, it would be trying to violate the law through illegal acts. Or illegal intent for an illegal act. Like I said the devil is in the details.

notice how I, a republican, am angry at my party over the abrahof mess, and react accordingly, notice how wiretapp when presented with evidence, refuse to make the same call on the donkeys wiretapp is not intellectually honest. willfully ignorant is also applicable. brb

you can be guilty of conspiracy to break the law even without having broken the law

I spoke with several knowledgeable Texas lawyers, of both parties, about the case against DeLay; they were willing to speak, but only off-the-record. Or, as one put it, “Who in hell wants to get in the middle of a fight between a polecat and a skunk?” hahaha All those with whom I spoke said that DeLay’s attorney, Dick DeGuerin, is extremely able. As one former judge, a Democrat who knows the players well, told me, “DeGuerin is A-1, probably several notches above Ronnie Earle.” DeGuerin successfully defended Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson when Earle indicted her in 1994.

“What we did was insane and monstrous, we covered entire towns in cluster bombs,” the head of an IDF rocket unit in Lebanon said regarding the use of cluster bombs and phosphorous shells during the war. wow

you did say Texas. In Texas the law is a delicate balance between who has the most money and who has the biggest hogleg

and who has the bigger gun?

n addition, soldiers in IDF artillery units testified that the army used phosphorous shells during the war, widely forbidden by international law. According to their claims, the vast majority of said explosive ordinance was fired in the final 10 days of the war. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArtVty.jhtml?sw=cluster+bomb&itemNo=761781

course the final 10 days you step up efforts to kill and maime

well the old head of the rangers Homer Garrison did back in the day

Referring to the fund-raising entity at the heart of the case, Texans for a Republican Majority PAC, DeLay told Mathews, “TRMPAC is a separate entity. I had no fiduciary responsibilities. I had no managerial responsibilities. I had nothing to do with the day-to-day operation. I was simply, along with four other elected officials, on an advisory board. They used my name as headliners for fund-raisers.” A few minutes later, though, the transcript reflects that DeLay is contradicting himself. He tells Mathews he was, in effect, deeply involved: “Everything TRMPAC did — and I insisted on — to even be on their board of advisers. Now, TRMPAC was my idea. I wanted the Texas House to be a Republican majority. And I went down there and worked with them to do that. We were successful.”

there was a case in Waxahachie some 40 years back during the civil rights movement. a demonstration got out of hand and turned into a mob riot. Loclas called the Rangers. Homer sent 1 agent

what do you think about the use of white phosphorous by Israel? if these statements are true

“It was only 1 mob, I figgured I could spare 1 ranger”

lol

Whats interesting right or wrong had his attorney waited a short while to invoke the statute if limitationd before he did the first indictment he would of got delay off. A tactical error where by days he could have beat the charges. But that doesnt speak to his guilt or innocence.

btw, that Ranger put down the mob back then the Rangers had a tough, fair and STRICTLY honest rep

pilgrim right

In the favor of Delay the Grand Jury leaked.. That could be a problem later.

A Ranger could walk into any store and requisition anything. the owner knew he would be paid in full. and was

Interesting reporting. Clearly the grand jury was not totally stacked against DeLay politically, and clearly its members saw convincing evidence. But this reporting is also very close to the reporting described by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in All The President’s Men - reporting that came very close to landing the reporters in jail, for grand jury secrecy rules apply to the press, as well as grand jurors. 7 of the Grand jurers voted democrat Again this doesnt play to the facts, but the politics of the case.

also back then the ratio of pencil pusher to field agent was far lower Woodstien broke the law, but, they did it on a conservative admin so it was OK

I cant tell by reading the code on money laundering if this is laundering. Its certainly not clear. The Campaign law which I dont have in front of me needs to be spelled out. http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/docs/PE/content/htm/pe.007.00.000034.00.htm#34.02.00

hi

Thats the money laundering statute but that doesnt determine if hte act was criminal. If the act is determined criminal then this law may apply § 34.02. MONEY LAUNDERING. (a) A person commits an

israeli politician today..

offense if the person knowingly: (1) acquires or maintains an interest in, conceals, possesses, transfers, or transports the proceeds of criminal activity; (2) conducts, supervises, or facilitates a transaction involving the proceeds of criminal activity; (3) invests, expends, or receives, or offers to invest, expend, or receive, the proceeds of criminal activity or funds that the person believes are the proceeds of criminal activity; or (4) finances or invests or intends to finance or invest funds that the person believes are intended to further the commission of criminal activity. But the million dollar question is.. Was it indeed illegal ? or was it legal ? And that is going to be the tough one.

we’ll see what do you think of this comment from an israeli politican yesterday “We have to expel most Arabs from Judea and Samaria,” Eitam said at a memorial service for Lt. Amihai Merhavia, a soldier who was killed in the battle for Bint Jbail in South Lebanon. “We can’t deal with all these Arabs, and we can’t give up the territory, because we’ve already seen what they do there. Some of them might have to stay under certain conditions, but most of them will have to go.”

It wouldnt be illegal in many states. But this is Texas law and will be determined based on Texas law. td, What are you talking about ?

oh, just reading this article http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1157913603080&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull I realize it differs from your topic, but i thought you were done did you see the other article I brought up regarding cluster bombs and white phosphorous, one IDF soldier said what he was ordered to do was “monstrous” http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArtVty.jhtml?sw=cluster+bomb&itemNo=761781 (haaretz seems to be having problems)

No problem I am done.

I didnt see any new progess in the Delay case I guess i better check or re-read whats going on there wow i killed the channel with israel news, or everyone went out to lunch oops

Well one thing you san say about the israelis to thier credit is that their own people will speak out if they believe their government is acting illegally or without proper regard for innocent life..

Does U.S. safety depend on winning in Iraq?

Thats rarely if ever seen by their opponents.. Doesnt make it right what the did, but it says something for the system they live in. Where soldiers could complain and the press could address the questions.. td, I went to read the article you posted. Haaretz, I like htem better than the jpost mostly because of advertising. I would want to ban phosphorous as a weapon.

I would too, its horrifying

Its crueler than Napalm in my opinion and you can accomplish with napalm things only Napalm can do, whereas you could accomplish the same kills without phospherous.

Well i hope that now this has come out that Israelis will indeed speak out about it

Does U.S. saffety depend on winning in Iraq??

i dont think they would be too happy with this

td, They wont. I mean the govt wont. I was on the Israeli side of this dispute, I still am, But I think there methods sometimes harm them more than help them. I believe the Israelis were morally right to defend themselves in the attack.

FYI - I saw the movie “United 93″ and they seemed to have cut out the part where U.S. warplanes shot it down

I think morals are a dangerous area to enter in international politics

But beling sloppy and flirting with civilian casualities when they could be avoided to me hurts thier cause. it hurts them not the enemy is my point.

I dont think they were right, they inflicted a lot of needless civilian casualties

US warplanes never shot it down.

Hook reagan did it

Israeli’s knew there would be collateral damage (babies, etc.) but went ahead anyway

RobertG, where the US warplanes shot it down?

and didnt lessen hezbollah’s capability

there is a record of the voice box from the passengers struggling with the terrorists fro control of the plane till it went down. and clearly even a amateur could examine the crash scene and tell it wasnt shot down.

RobertG, why would babies be around Hezballah munitions?/

Collaterol damage is expected.

Reagan also introduced the US to illegal immigration amnesty =/ dumbass what was he thinking?

Wreckless actions are not..And actions which harm you more than help you are simply not wise militarily or politically.

][Hook][, he had a brain cramp that day.

The point about United 93 The military has not allowed the pilots to be interviewed, and The Times has agreed not to print their names because of security concerns. But details of their activities on the morning of Sept. 11 have emerged through interviews with other Guard officials. 0 a.m., six minutes after receiving their orders from defense sector, code-named Huntress, three F-16’s were airborne, according to the Norad timeline. Then the pilots received the most surreal order of the awful morning. “A person came on the radio,” General Haugen said, “and identified themselves as being with the Secret Service and he said, `I want you to protect the White House at all costs.’ “

I think Reagan was the most effective president in recent history certainly, but he did piss me off from time to time

Hook, Wars are not only won my weapons but by the politics and the perception of the care and restraint for the innocent. I think morality is essential to question during war or else I dont see our humanity..

I wish I woulda been alive durin it haha

RobertG, yeah, so what, that doesn’t mean they shot it down.

his administration

Yes its hard to say how do we morally blow someone up. But one answer is with as little pain as possible. Since the object of blowing him up is to eliminate him not to make him suffer, to eliminate a combatant trying to kill you. to use weapons which are severely painful when they arent needed and people have to analyze the question of need.. Is simply wrong if other weapons can do the same thing without as much suffering But I am not going to render a judgement based on allegations and a couple reports in papers which could be distorted for all I know.

yeah, but to appreciate it you’d have had to live through Carter first *shudder*

LOL

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” as a God fearing man, he should understand.

Another difficulty with war is ascertaining the truth. Now if there are unexploded ordinance all over the place which apparently in some areas there is, then of course you have evidence to make judgements. but it takes time to collect evidence and to analyze it.

oh yeah haahahaha

I lived through Carter.. And I agree with the tombstone.

Carter might even like that haha

They should protect the whitehouse at any and all costs.

i watched a show on sunday that said the only thing the u.s airforce could muster in defense of the whitehouse on 9/11 was an unarmed F16 from andrews afb

I was born while carter was in office… does that count?

Here is the problem by the time they knew the whitehouse was a possible target it would have been too late.

:P

and they interviewed the pilot and he said he planned to ram any hijacked jet

They didnt knwo where these planes were. They had their transponders off which make them all but invisible.

why are commercial flights able to turn of their transponders :P yea.. i just want to disappear for a bit

You can get them on radar but radars show 1000s of planes dotted al over the place.. depending on the location of the radar. But radars dont identify planes. The fact is we were not prepared for the attack of 911, militarily or any other way..

was/is any country?

It was a major error in neglect.. By all parties.. Both Presidents, The American people, Noone can really be blamed.. If it happens again then someone can be blamed though.

someone can be blamed

Momazda, Well I dont know if you can turn them off or if you have to cut the wires to them

lets not just shrug our shoulders and go “oops”

No blame is useless. why ? Noone expected this.

except the mossad

And retrospective blame serves no purpose, its done… We lost our virginity on 911

lol

Bureaucracy was in the way… each little unit had its rules to follow, the general rules were decided by committees with little to no understanding of the situation, and the coordination rules made little sense as soon as a situation arose that wasn’t textbook “hey we don’t have a rule for that”

and if it ever happens again then we will have people to blame.

Same shit that happens with any bureaucracy when a situation occurs that doesn’t fit in the pre-determined pathology… it gets fucked up.

Clinton dropped the ball, Bush was barely in office, but he didnt think about what to do in the event of a air strike either.. It was a failure of past administrations really we should of had something in place well before then for such a contingency, that was a failure of the pentagon, FBI, CIA, thats why I dont blame any”one” It was systemic breakdown we now need to make sure we have military aircraft and plenty of them on call and within distance to interdict a plane next time, next time we do need to shoot it down. bwe now need to make sure we have military aircraft and plenty of them on call and within distance to interdict a plane next time, next time we do need to shoot it down./b Damn I may take another nap.

heh… 5 years ago today I was calling my local recruiting office.

what happened?

Gave it some thought… got all my required documentation from school, traffic tickets, vital records… signed up on the 24th, enlisted the next day… had to wait a couple more months before the next open slot for boot camp though.

SAN`A, Yemen (AP) — At least 41 people were killed and more than 50 injured in a stampede Tuesday during a campaign rally for Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in the southern province of Ibb, medical and security officials said. I don’t care how much a President’s supporters love him (or her), you’d never see a stampede like that here

why did they stampede

sometimes those folks get nuts..like when you see funerals, its like choas Overcrowding and a lack of clearly marked exit signs contributed to the stampede, after people leaving the stadium ran into other people entering the stadium, the officials said.

speaking of mobs and the middle east is it just me or does it make sense for places to criminalize the open carrying of firearms

depends on the places rural towns…probably not crowded cities, yeah i remember growing up, everybody truck had a gun rack w/ 2 rifles on them (always loaded too). we’d go from my cousin’s ranch to the little town’s general store (The “Qwik N EZ”) and nobody made a big fuss about it but, when they’d come visit us here in the city, they’d pull the rifles down and if they didn’t carry loaded rifles, they kept the ammo in the glovebox Btw, have any of you ever actually put gloves in the glove box?

I’ve never seen gloves in a glove box

yes

i keep mine in the storage compartment behind the seats… but i live in the desert, no need for gloves for warmth hehe…i keep a set of workgloves back there learned my lesson while changing a woman’s tire during the summer one time

Oil prices fell for the seventh straight trading session on Tuesday, dipping below $65 a barrel at a time of year when demand for gasoline traditionally tapers off and winter fuels consumption has yet to ramp up. http://www.forbes.com/entrepreneurs/feeds/ap/2006/09/12/ap3011111.html

unleaded gas at 2.23 per gallon in texas

psh, not this part of texas hehe its 2.71 here

wait … so they’re saying in a day prices go from $2.35/gallon to $2.23/gallon because of the weather?

2.37 wheeee

I expect it to drop to 1.99 in Houston

where did you see it for 2.23 in Houston? I want some of that action

it’s 2.23 here in ohio

What did you get from said woman for changing her tire did u get to change her oil?

telephone road near Hobby Airport

stgill $3 here

summer drive time is over - that’s why gas is falling

until someone decides to panic and it goes back up to $3

It is amazing that the oil market can change so quickly

i think it’s stupid

i agree

if u were one of those sheiks cruising around with a red checkered picnic blanket on your head and you were sitting on an oil fortune, you wouldn’t think that the market was so ’stupid’ instead you’d think “how best to screw these stupid americans for calling my headwear a picnic blanket”

and to think I paid 2.69 last Thursday at I-10 and Echo Ln. bah

the shieks do not think in terms of money

haberdasshery doth make the terrorist

could you hand me a haberdash… I need to take a shower

what’s on pilgrim

hamatic that is

I’ll take Indo European, thanks

I am a not about dead languages nut

how ’bout cobol

talk dirty to me in esperanto oooooh

imo, a religious person calling me stupid is a classic example of a pot calling the kettle black

aaaaaah

PL/1

and yes, I have the right to think religious people are stupid. deal with it

yea, smoking pot makes u stupid and religious u’ll start calling the kettle white

I am a very religious person

i’ve always HATED that expression btw

more abuse of the word “right” or “rights”

the pot thing ;p

goofy

religion is stupid if u are an atheist

I am a pagan

well yeah… and atheist would look pretty dumb at mass

do pagans eat a lot of pork?

well if you’re an athiest then you have beliefs. You’re a hypocrit if you’re an athiest who thinks religion is stupid because it’s belief w/out proof

let me guess

YARR!

you’re an agnostic

im a pastafarian… i dont REALLY believe but what the heck if it has a chance of being true.. i mean great perks, every friday is a religious holiday, stripper factory and beer volcano in heaven, etc

naw that would be followers of Jon Frum. look it up

i’m a pizzafarian - eatin pizza is a religious rite pastafarianism also sounds good

religious people often have such a hard time understandind the concept of not having belief. They often seem to imply that you either must believe in god, or believe there is no god. Also, they always jump on the discussion of ‘god’ when I ask them about why they literally believe bible stories. They can’t tell me why they think the earth is flat, so they jump on ‘YOU CAN’T DISPROVE MY GOD!!!’

someone should create subfarianism

– The name “John Frum” is possibly derived from World War II GIs introducing themselves to the locals as “John from America”. heh

(i wasn’t literally implying that the majority of religious people think the earth is flat. Stop typing. You’re an idiot”

depends

) ;p

my Goddess boffed your god and bragged about it

religious ppl are never depressed

you seem to know a lot about religious people, suna

a lot? i said like two things

considering “religious people” makes up a few billion that’s quite a broad stroke =P

two things that indicate you know A LOT about all religeous people

religious people are like those guys in the cereal commercials who are cruching their cereal so loud they cant hear any1 speak - the speaker are like anti-religious ppl like suna

it’s just obvservation. It’s rare in my experience to find a religious person who understand the concept of not having belief. They think it’s either believe in god or believe there is no god. It’s not that difficult a concept, I don’t knwo why so many people have trouble with it

they get so frustrated

I don’t believe. That’s all there is to it.

that’s agnosticism, is it not?

suna, have u seen those cereal commercials?

suna, one of my friends seriously told me that I was lying to my self about the existance of god because everyone knows that god exists, and when I said that he’s just lying to himself about the existance of a giant unicorn he said that he refuses to continue the discussion because that’s a stupid argument.
