as far as customer relations and contact management, tons of ‘intra-state’ oh yah call centers are in the fucking hood if thats what you are getting at and states with tax shelters
dehuman i see the opposite. 3 new call centers have opened up here. fierce competition for labor. some of these are jobs that are coming back from overseas
depressed improverished areas what you see is a sliver of the industry, not representative of the whole
dehuman thats also false. call centers seek out areas with a high tech population and preferably a university for access to that labor sector
just my shop alone runs like 300 centers in 50 countries on 4 continents

Seamus some of the dumb places i did work in for a pollster had these ghetto phones where the volume control works BOTH ways. so they turn it up to hear you better without realiaing you’re also turning your own voice level up
