On the flip side, many people who get off of death row after years of appeals don’t get off due to findings of innocence, but rather legal technicalites. And some people who fight years of appeals with those legal technicalities may actually be innocent and lose and the relevant evidence inadmissable due to other legal technicalities.

The only saving grace to the system is that almost everyone convicted of a crime were probably responsible. The shitty part is those few exceptions here and there that get royaly screwed by inept public defenders, shitty circumstances, etc and when the guilty get off because of legal technicalities that their well paid lawyers exploit.

The US is going to pull out of Iraq eventually… the sooner the better for both repubs and dems alike… but especially better for repubs if it looks like our political goals can be achieved… hence why few are big on bailing right now.
